Dr. Burghardt created the BA in STEM is a co-major for elementary and early elementary school undergraduates (at Hofstra University all elementary education majors require a co-major in a Liberal Arts discipline) with a focus on STEM areas. The program draws upon existing courses in the STEM areas as well as two capstone courses related to the Human-made world and the Natural world.
